ADR (alternative dispute resolution) brings together several parties, each with distinct roles:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Key point: Neither the conciliator nor the mediator decides the dispute. They do not impose any solution. Nor does the expert: he or she provides a technical opinion. Only the judge decides the case, unless the parties reach an agreement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With regard to consumer matters, the business must provide access to a consumer ombudsman following a prior written complaint: Article L. 612-1 of the Consumer Code<\/a>.
